As an Indonesian, you may not realize that “Jasa Tambal Ban” like we normally see here in Indonesia, is probably unique to Indonesia 😁
Because in many countries outside of Indonesia, there are no flat tire repair service, with this unique appearance, widely available in almost every spot and every major streets. So how on earth people can fix their flat tire? 😁
Well, most cars in Europe are using RFT (run-flat tire) which can still run for another 100 km (with low speed) even though it punctured. In other countries, most tires are tubeless and everybody is familiar with tire patcher. So they can fix it by themselves. Or they just change it with the spare tire, then bring the punctured one to car repair shop.
Sebagai orang Indonesia, mungkin kita ngga nyadar bahwa “Jasa Tambal Ban” yang sehari-hari kita liat di sini, di Indonesia, itu sangat mungkin cuma ada di Indonesia aja 😁
Soalnya di banyak negara di luar Indonesia, ga ada tukang tambal ban yang penampakannya macam di Indo, dan tersebar luas di hampir setiap ruas jalan. Terus gimana caranya mereka nambal ban? 😁
Jadi, hampir semua mobil di Eropa itu sekarang pake RFT (run-flat-tire), yang masih bisa jalan 100 km (dengan kecepatan rendah) walaupun ketusuk paku misalnya. Di negara lain, kebanyakan ban itu tubeless, dan semua orang udah familiar sama tire patcher. Jadi mereka bisa benerin sendiri ban yang bocor. Atau, mereka ganti aja sama ban serep (cadangan), terus mereka bawa tuh ban yang bocor ke bengkel mobil.
